Finished the triptych. (3) Just got to frame it/them. Signs done. 10 Badges done. Roll on Tuesday. 5 days to go. Also I have 1 follower on tumblr! It’s a good day. This is what happens to all of us in the end…according to Bosch anyway…

Thought I was there…. and then I went and had a dream last night (thanks Ruth) about another triptych! My work is all based on a series of related triptyches (can you say that?) Think I just have to include this one too, I had discarded it as stitch but I think it’s back in! Oh dear going to be doing a bit more sewing than I thought!

Just been to proof my cards and books – all very exciting! I hope people want to buy them!

Not long to go. Just dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. Been running around sorting frames and cards and postcards this week, well hopping actually, yes the lovely crutches are still in use. Decided to add Grayson Perry into my ‘women and books’ for good measure…can’t do any harm!
Here’s some more images that will be making an appearance. Just read Sarah,s post… Last time in room six. Really hard to believe… the end of an era really sad it’s all coming to a close…. hoping more to come ……
Yay! Managed to actually make an art show! Found the right art college building , place to park and everything! Quite an achievement as I am now sporting a rather lovely pair of crutches. Great evening with Sarah and Eloise. Lots to look at and lots of ideas for display for our show.

Thanks to Sarah for the photographs, my hands were otherwise engaged….yes my lovely crutches…not an extra piece of art…..but maybe……..
Having total crisis of confidence. Got all my boxes out on shelves and plinths in my gallery space/ studio aka the kitchen, just watched the summer show for the RA on catch up so feeling pretty inadequate as an artist anyway. Abi turns up. Everything makes sense! She lets me babble on about what I am trying to say with my work and how I want people see it. Start to move boxes around and it finally really starts to come together. I think I need a chair though too. Sorry Sue!

Memory loss 1: can I just say a huge thank you to Sarah (sarahwatersart@wordpress.com) who managed to help me with a password I can actually remember so that don’t need to change it every time I write a new blog! Memory loss 2: realised I didn’t add half the photos I should have for my last blog. Here they are

memory loss 3: went all the way to Chichester yesterday to see the MA Fine Art Show. Got to the car park, forgot purse so no money to park, forgot cash card and cash card number so no access to potential cash, the building was empty apart from two electricians who kindly informed me that there was no one there and no one to ask about the show. Soooooo helpful! I am at the moment supporting a rather large bandage on my left leg and hobbling severely but this did not manage to elicit any further help. Gave up! Drove to West Dean, had emergency coffee ( scrabbled around and found money!) and sewed two more boxes in the gardens. Peace and equilibrium restored before getting lost around Westbourne looking for a science course….0h dear…
Managed to fall down the stairs on Thursday, thought I’d broken my ankle! Honest! However only a bad sprain. So, on the plus side spent Friday, prostrate, adding to my boxes and got a free pass sans children today and been experimenting with my new encaustic medium. Don’t think it’s meant for textiles but it’s interesting, if stinky. Here are some of my boxes and results of using the encaustic. And no, I am not sharing the disasters here…

…also just discovered one plus side to living in a building site: at some stage the empty shell looks a bit like a gallery. Right, off to melt more wax. Ps my images owe a lot to Freud and Jenny Saville.
